Do any charter boats fish between now and March? Or is it just a bad time of year with limited fish numbers and bad weather?

I think I have managed to get out in kilmore quay this time of year-try Dick Hayes or John Devereaux (

Just checked with them, they will go out weather permitting. That is quite a big caveat at this time of year

Noting the caveat of weather permitting, here are some websites that give a longer range forecastup to 10 days, that is generally very accurate:

If you need any help deciphering the charts just drop me a pm and I'll see if I can help.

I was just talking to Adrian Hanley who operates out of Caherciveen, Co Kerry. He tells me that his boat is available for charter just now, though he hasn't been out because no-one genrally charters him at this time of year!
I asked him what the fishing would be like and he said that he would expect Cod to have joined the general Pollock / Ling / Conger, etc that off Valentia is renowned for.
Usual weather restrictions, though Caherciveen can fish in most wind directions.
