cable car trace...check it,may not be right for your mark or ground.
good for joey macks,n live lug and rag..balls of them like.
what species are you targeting man? said trace is also used for tope and other big fish.
a lad i know sizes 'em down for bass...
works well for him. :) not for me :(

Hi Ray, I used to use this one from a boat, http://www.planetseafishing.com/rigs/Portland-Rig/. I like it because the fish can swim about with the sliding snood but I am not sure about shore rigs for live bait as I dont know about casting live bait. I guess it will work pretty much the same. Or else theres float fishing with a live bait, just a basic float setup with a 1oz ball lead down to a swivel with your snood about 30+ inches.

I am not familiar with " cable car " and can't find it on google but one method from the shore is to cast out just a weight on the mainline then clip your snood & livebaited hook onto it --- so the fish slides down the line . Like that Portland rig but with a clip swivel on the snood and without the beads on the mainline .
I personally don't like the idea of live baiting but good luck if you must

i think it works well cause essentially your not casting a live bait, just your gripper then clipping on the snood baited and all and just leaving it fall into the tide...
